The mission of the Master’s program in Intelligent Manufacturing and Automation (IMA) is to provide and ensure a high level of training in the field of industrial engineering and to train specialists in the field who are able to cope with all professional demands and a constantly changing labor market.
This multidisciplinary program aims to train graduates who are able to use state-of-the-art knowledge in industrial engineering, manufacturing technologies, analysis and interpretation of experimental results, and planning, design, implementation, and upgrading of manufacturing technologies.
Nowadays, the field of intelligent manufacturing and automation of manufacturing processes is of great interest and constantly developing and adapting to the new market requirements so the training of human resources in the area of intelligent manufacturing and automation is and will be extremely useful. All the more, training, training of students through courses in English is beneficial.
Taking into account the need to train specialists in the field of industrial engineering, we propose to organize the master’s degree program in Intelligent Manufacturing and Automation.
Students study courses in English, which are divided into 4 categories, namely, basic technologies, advanced manufacturing automation processes, industrial applications, management, and entrepreneurial development.
The core technologies category includes scientific principles, knowledge, and their application in smart manufacturing technologies. The laboratory infrastructure provides students with opportunities for practical work, including a dissertation project.
The knowledge and skills acquired in the field of intelligent manufacturing and automation of technological processes are in demand on the labor market, by companies or other institutions with a decision-making role, and the main occupations that can be practiced on the labor market are mechanical engineering advisor; mechanical engineering expert, mechanical engineering specialist inspector, and mechanical engineering specialist referent.
After graduation from this Master’s programme the skills acquired are:
The Faculty of Machine Manufacturing and Industrial Management provides guidance and tutoring in a very important field for the general development of a country, namely Machine Manufacturing. The faculty was set up on the 1st of October 1948. In January 1990, as a result of restructuring, the faculty gained its actual structure, followed by the assignment of its current name (Faculty of Machine Manufacturing and Industrial Management) on the 25th of October 2005.
About the Faculty
Our faculty is committed to training its graduates to work in enterprises with mechanical profiles. Through flexible instructional plans, we provide engineering competence in the areas of machine manufacturing, design, and exploitation of technological equipment, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic machines and systems.
Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi, with the oldest engineering education tradition in Romania, is dedicated to developing technology for the community through research, teaching, and technology transfer.
